I am developing this section because of the experiences we’ve had and the ideas I continue to formulate around traveling with children. Especially younger kids. Of course it is simple to go to an all-inclusive, and that appeals to some (perhaps many). We have done more mainstream things like gone on cruises and visited Disney world. And then we camped across America ( in a tent most of the way), flew to Costa Rica, took local buses around the country and had a blast doing it.
This section will be geared to those adventurous enough to travel a different path. But it can also be for those who are contemplating, planning, scheming such an endeavor as well as those who simply want to learn more before taking their backpacks and kids in tow.
It doesn’t mean you have to take a year to travel Central or South America with your kids. Whether it is for a weekend, a week, or a month, travelling with children can be an enjoyable experience for everyone. The kids are exposed to new, interesting, diverse circumstances that offers learning opportunities all around them.
Since we began our journey 6 months ago, my kids have had exposure to different cultures, food, animals, waters, and so many life lessons that they would have not obtained if we were still in suburbia in Canada.
